Hi, I'm Jil. I translate security into something your CFO will actually read.
I'm the President of Wrightbrained Security and a Lead CMMC Certified Assessor. I've spent my career on both sides of the table: assessing organizations and helping them get ready to be assessed. These days that means defense suppliers, organizations that handle patient data, and the companies that need to trust them.
I founded Wrightbrained Security after leaving higher education. After years of dedicating much of my time to other organizations, I chose to put that energy into building my own vision. Drawing on nearly 25 years in IT, I help strengthen the Defense Industrial Base through education, certification readiness, supplier security and assessment leadership: work that helps protect the men and women in our armed forces. I create tools and frameworks that make the path to readiness clearer, faster and more achievable. My background in hospitals and healthcare education also drives my commitment to helping healthcare organizations, especially rural hospitals, protect themselves from the devastating effects of ransomware.

Why "Wrightbrained"?
Wrightbrained is a play on my last name, Wright, and the creativity associated with "right-brained" thinking: making connections, seeing possibilities and finding innovative solutions. While that label oversimplifies how we think, it captures the creativity and communication that distinguish our work, alongside analytical rigor and attention to detail. The shield and keyhole represent security and protection, while the brain-shaped W brings our name to life. The lightning bolt, a symbol I've long used alongside my name, is a spark of personality that reflects the energy and individuality I bring to this work.
